Science does not only happen in laboratories. It also grows through questions, conversations and the opportunity to explain why research matters.
This year, during the European Researchers’ Night on the 25th of September 2026, our partners at the University of Rome Tor Vergata (UTOV) and the University of Siena (UniSiena) brought VIROMARKERS to the conversation, sharing insights into the project and the research behind it with visitors of all ages.
From biomarkers to the challenges of studying and monitoring chronic viral infections, The event was an opportunity to introduce VIROMARKERS to the public and, above all, to exchange ideas directly with people curious about how research can translate into better tools for patients and healthcare professionals.
The European Researchers’ Night is also a reminder that research is not an isolated activity. It is part of a wider conversation involving researchers, institutions, patients and society. We were glad to contribute to that conversation through VIROMARKERS!
