The VIROMARKERS consortium held a two-day project meeting, on Thursday 10 and Friday 11 September 2026, in the beatiful venue of Villa Tuscolana, Frascati, Italy.
The meeting focused on reviewing progress across the project and discussing the main challenges and priorities for the months ahead. Alongside the plenary sessions, workshops and roundtables brought together partners working on different areas of VIROMARKERS to discuss open questions, dependencies and issues that require closer coordination.
After months of remote meetings, the event offered an opportunity to bring the different areas of the project together, review progress and discuss the challenges for the months ahead. Several of these discussions led to concrete decisions and helped clarify the priorities and actions for the next phase of the project.
The meeting also included a presentation from the Project Officer, who provided an overview of the next steps for the project and clarified what to expect in the coming phase.
Members of the External Advisory Boards also contributed to the discussions with their experience and feedback, raising important points for consideration. We thank all of them for their extremely constructive and valuable input!
The two days in Frascati provided the consortium with the opportunity to take stock of the work so far, address key issues together and agree on the way forward for the coming months.
The VIROMARKERS project is entering its second half period and we are looking forward to the next results!
